KIRKLAND LAKE THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF KIRKLAND LAKE Corporate Services Department Requires a CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST Full-Time / Non-Union THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE DIRECTOR OF PHYSICAL SERVICES. Position Overview: Working with a team of dedicated professionals, the Civil Engineering Technologist will be involved in the design and preparation of plans and specifications for municipal water systems, subdivisions, roads and other civil infrastructure. Minimum Qualifications: - Technician or Technologist's diploma from a recognized institute. - Certification with the Ontario Association of Certified Technicians and Technologists - 3 -5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience - Municipal infrastructure knowledge including water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roads, water treatment, wastewater treatment, highways and road - Experience with both design and construction supervision of civil projects an excellent asset - Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA) certification preferred - Experience with Total Station preferred - Strong computer skills, including AutoCad - Excellent interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, communication, presentation, public/media relations and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently. - Valid Class “G“ License - Clear Criminal Record Check Hours: 40 hours per week Compensation: $47,425 to $56,916 (to commensurate with experience) plus a comprehensive compensation and benefit package.
